Picasso knew how to entertain, not only through his art, but also through personal anecdotes. For example, he liked to say that he prefers to pay by check because many people would rather hang on to a check with his famous signature on it than cash it.
Another story claims that Francoise Gilot, a well known artist in her own right, posed for Picasso only twice. The first session did not work out. The second time Picasso just looked at her for a long time without making any sketches. She never posed for him again, but she appears in many of Picasso's paintings.
